Today we proudly unveiled the latest additions to the growing Bluebird Bus fleet; two new Optare Solo SRs - featuring ultra-low floors and ultra-low emission engines. In fact, these brand new buses are among the most environmentally friendly vehicles available and hold reduced pollution certificates. Just another demonstration of Bluebird’s commitment to our passengers and our environment.

The Bluebird team is delighted to announce that we’ve recently been shortlisted for two prestigious bus industry awards; namely the UK Bus Awards in the ‘Medium Bus Operator of the Year 2009' category and the Route One Operator Excellence Awards for ‘Best Independent Bus Operator of the Year 2009'.

In both cases, we're proud to be recognised for our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding customer service for the local community; the cornerstone of our business. The award ceremonies will take place in October and November respectively, where the winners will be announced. Watch this space!
